I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of

your letter of the 25th of October 1938 with

regard to the expenditure incurred by His Britannic

Majesty's Government in connection with the Czechoslovak

nationals evacuated to Hongkong in August 1937, and in

reply beg to state that this Legation has so far received

no answer to the matter from the Czechoslovak Ministry

for Foreign Affairs in Praha.

However I have to-day again written to my

home office for an urgent reply and shall not fail

to let you know as soon as any instructions will

be received.
